BUILDING SURVEYS AND DUE DILIGENCE REPORTS
If you are acquiring a freehold or leasehold interest in a residential or commercial property, you are likely to require a level 3 building survey (formerly called a structural survey) alongside associated services to minimise the risk of being landed with hidden problems. A ‘non-intrusive’ comprehensive inspection will be carried out by one of our qualified building surveyors to assess the condition of the structure, finishes and fabric of the building. The resulting building survey report summarises the construction as well as highlights any defects, problems or snagging issues which require further investigations.
For larger commercial transactions a more extensive ‘Due Diligence’ report will bring together surveys and archival material with input from other consultants and specialists to ensure you can manage any potential liabilities or risks.
