Tony Hulejczuk BSc (Hons) MRICS

Managing Director

Tony is Managing Director and Senior Chartered Building Surveyor at Focus Consulting.

Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Surveying Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1981 he spent 2 years working overseas in Africa and Papua New Guinea. Tony then worked for over 10 years in multi-disciplinary Building Surveying, Architectural Design and Project Management Practices across London and the Southeast before founding Focus Consulting in 1998. Since that time as well as developing the practice Tony provides senior level Project Management and Professional Building Surveying services across all project sectors.





Iain Staines BSc (Hons) MRICS

Director

Iain is a Senior Professional Building Surveyor and Construction Expert.

Having briefly worked as a carpenter after leaving school Iain graduated from the University of Brighton in 2014 with an Honours Degree in Building Surveying. Iain became a Chartered Member of the RICS in 2022 and specialises in complex Contract Administration roles and has extensive experience of refurbishment and buildings insurance reinstatement projects. He also has expertise in Schedules of Dilapidations projects and identifying and undertaking repairs. Iain has excellent contract administration and contract dispute expertise and experience.

Iain was promoted to Director in 2023 and assists the team through their APC journey to become Chartered with RICS.





Paul Price BSc (Hons)

Senior Building Surveyor

Paul is an experienced Building Surveyor having worked in the construction industry since leaving school.

He is a NVQ level 3 Qualified Carpenter with extensive experience of residential projects and has a core understanding of construction methodology.
He later decided to move away from the contracting side of the industry and enrolled on a BSc Degree in Building Surveying at The University of Brighton as a mature student. Since joining the Practice, Paul has taken an active role in Contract Administrator duties and Schedules of Dilapidations. He is also proficient at producing drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.





Iana Soares BEng (Hons)

Building Surveyor & Engineer

Iana joined the team in Spring 2023 and is currently undertaking an accredited Masters degree in Building Surveying.

Originally from Brazil, where she obtained her Engineering degree, Iana has travelled extensively and has made her base in Brighton. She has excellent managerial and customer service experience and was previously a kitchen designer. Iana is great at taking initiative and is quick to learn the role and will be enrolling on the APC route to Chartership. She has experience with AutoCAD and Sketchup and since joining the Practice has developed her specification writing and reporting.





Will Fasano BA

Building Surveyor

Will has recently completed a Master’s Degree in Building Surveying in a distant learning course at Northumbria University.

Having joined Focus in Summer 2023, Will is working alongside the Surveying team learning Contact practices, Project Management and Design. He holds a keen interest in modern methods of construction and sustainability. Originally from Italy and having spent most his time in Cambridge, he has settled in Brighton to attain his Business Degree at Brighton University. He holds a varied past in multiple sectors including hospitality and manufacturing. An enthusiastic swimmer, Will likes to keep active in his spare time.





Maddy Lecinska BBA

Business Development & Marketing Manager

Maddy supports the team with business development, and is responsible for the social media and marketing of the business.





Liz Brockwell LLB (Hons) PGCE

Office Manager

Liz joined the team in February 2024 as office manager to support the overall running of the office.

Liz has spent most of her career in the education sector, first as an account manager working for educational publishers, then as a primary school teacher. In the last few years, she has worked as a senior administrator in the NHS, and is looking forward to applying her organisational skills to her role at Focus Consulting. Liz’s experience as a primary school teacher means she is adept at multi-tasking and working efficiently.

Outside work Liz enjoys being active, regularly doing yoga, and running. She also loves volunteering at a local parkrun.



Max Robinson-Foxcroft BA (Hons) MArch

Architectural Assistant

Max joined the team in March 2024 and produces architectural drawings and assists with surveys and reports.

He completed an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in architecture in Plymouth and Bournemouth, respectively.

Max has worked at a number of architectural practices, producing drawings at all stages from planning to construction stage. He is keen to develop his skills and is working towards becoming a fully qualified architect. He is proficient with producing architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.

Outside work, Max is a keen tennis player, and is passionate about travelling. His travels have taken him to Uganda as a volunteer teacher.




