Focus Consulting Charity Golf Day Raises £7,617 for Parkinson’s UK

Focus Consulting was delighted to host its Charity Golf Day and BBQ on Thursday 10 September 2026 at The Dyke Golf Club in Brighton, bringing together clients, colleagues, friends and contacts from across the property and construction industry for a fantastic day of golf, food, fundraising and friendly competition.

This year’s event was held in support of Parkinson’s UK, with everyone coming together to help raise funds for a cause that is important to many people and their families.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, we are delighted to announce that the event has raised an amazing £7,617 including Gift Aid.

This was a fantastic result and significantly exceeded our original fundraising expectations.

A Great Day on the Course

The day began with registration, coffee and breakfast rolls before golfers prepared for the 18-hole competition.

With players joining us from a wide range of companies and organisations, the event provided a great opportunity to catch up with existing contacts, meet new people and enjoy some friendly competition away from the office.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from Dean Wilson, Collins Contractors, J W Cannon, PH Beck, Proteus Waterproofing, Sussex Asphalte, Extech Cloud, Laurie Associates, Pure Leasehold Management, Allied Land, Graves Son & Pilcher, and many others.

Focus Consulting was also represented by members of the team, with Directors Tony Hulejczuk, Iain Staines and colleagues joining the competition.

The atmosphere throughout the morning was excellent, with plenty of competitive spirit on the course alongside the opportunity to relax and enjoy the day with colleagues, clients and friends.

Well done to all of our winners, and a particular congratulations to Erin and Julie for taking the Ladies’ prize.

The competition was only one part of the day, however. The main aim was to bring everyone together while raising as much money as possible for Parkinson’s UK, and the generosity shown by everyone involved helped make the event a huge success.

An Afternoon of Food, Drinks and Fundraising

Following the golf, everyone came together for the afternoon BBQ.

The event welcomed not only the golfers but also guests and supporters who joined us for the BBQ, creating a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could catch up after the competition.

Alongside the BBQ, guests could enjoy some additional activities, including our mini golf challenge, adding another element of friendly competition to the afternoon.

The afternoon provided a chance to share stories from the course, celebrate the winners and enjoy some well-deserved food and drinks.

Music and the BBQ helped round off the day, with guests staying on into the afternoon to enjoy the event and support the fundraising effort.

It was particularly enjoyable to see golfers, non-golfers, clients, suppliers and friends all coming together for the same cause.

A charity event like this takes a great deal of organisation, so we would like to thank everyone who helped make the day possible.

Firstly, thank you to all of the companies and individuals who joined us, whether as golfers, BBQ guests, sponsors, donors or supporters. We are also grateful to The Dyke Golf Club for hosting us and helping everything run smoothly, as well as to everyone who supported us behind the scenes with the organisation and logistics.

We would also like to thank everyone who supported the fundraising but was unable to attend on the day. Your generosity was very much appreciated and made a real contribution to the overall result.

Raising £7,617 for Parkinson’s UK

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we are delighted to have raised £7,600 including Gift Aid for Parkinson’s UK.

When we started planning the event, our aim was to bring people together for an enjoyable day while raising money for a worthwhile cause. As a result, reaching such a fantastic total made all the hard work worthwhile.

Every donation, sponsorship and contribution helped us reach this result. Most importantly, we are extremely grateful to everyone who played a part.

Looking Back

Overall, our 2026 Charity Golf Day and BBQ was a fantastic opportunity to bring together clients, colleagues, friends and contacts from across the property and construction sectors.

From the early morning registration and breakfast through to the 18 holes, prize giving and afternoon BBQ, the day was filled with friendly competition and plenty of opportunities to catch up away from the office.

Along the way, we were delighted to welcome so many familiar faces, as well as some new ones. It was also particularly nice to receive such positive feedback from guests after the event.

Ultimately, we hope everyone who joined us enjoyed the day as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing many of you again at a future Focus Consulting event.
