BUILDING SURVEYS & SCHEDULES OF CONDITION
If you are acquiring a freehold or leasehold interest in a residential or commercial property you are likely to require a building survey.
A ‘non-intrusive’ inspection is carried out by a qualified surveyor to assess the condition of the building structure, finishes and fabric of the building. The resulting survey report will summarise the construction and highlight defects and issues which require further specialist investigations. In certain circumstances we can also offer an abbreviated Building Survey.
Schedules of Condition
A schedule of condition summarises the state of repair a property is in at a particular time. It is often carried out at a beginning of a lease, or prior to construction work in close proximity which has the potential to have an impact on the subject property. The report will be supported by photographs, sketches and possibly drawings.
